New Report Card Information

Golden Hills School Division will have a new report card for 2012 for Grades 1-6. The purpose of this learner profile is to communicate with parents and students about the achievement of specific learning outcomes. It identifies students’ level of progress with regard to those outcomes, areas of strength, and areas where additional time and effort are needed. Teachers in Golden Hills have been working on improving student learning. Our Alberta Initiative for School Improvement project has focused on assessment. Many new Assessment for Learning practices are being used in our classrooms. At this time traditional report cards no longer align with our changes in assessment practices.  Our goal is to have a reporting system that is better able to communicate where your child is at in relation to the learner outcomes of the curriculum.
